Parent Engagement Co-ordinator (Ref: PEC-0115)

Hours: 35 hours per week – permanent

Centre 404 is a well-established charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to young people with learning disabilities and their families in north London. 

An new opportunity has arisen for a friendly and experienced group worker to join their busy team and develop information events, activities, and workshops to engage parents.

The postholder will lead on delivering a schedule of information events and groups that aim to increase participation from local parents and involve them in the development of services for children with Special Educational Needs or Disability.

Working with other professionals and colleagues the post holder will be required to organise, facilitate, promote and lead groups and activities at our centre and within the wider community.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced group work facilitator with excellent communication skills and the ability to approach and engage parents. The right person will be highly organised, have knowledge of local services and be passionate about empowering people to become more involved. Excellent administration and IT skills, good time management, enthusiasm for developing the service and good understanding of SEND and how this can affect families are essential for this post.

Centre 404 is committed to staff development and supervision and will provide relevant training and support where required.
