Personalisation means individuals having maximum choice and control over the public services they require – moving from the culture of ‘one size fits all’ to tailoring support to meet individuals’ aspirations and build on their strengths. There are a number of activities that fit underneath the personalisation umbrella including customer involvement, person centred planning, co-production and personal budgets.
Our endorsement of the ‘Think Local, Act Personal’ concordat, our work on ‘Right to Control’ and our involvement with the DCLG facilitated personalisation working group have equipped us to provide effective support to the sector.
