The South West regional Housing Care and Support Conference, entitled 'Extinction or Evolution? Tools to transform' took place on 12 May in Exeter.

At a time when our sector is facing the challenge of the most severe public spending cuts most of us have seen, the conference considered how can we adapt and continue to provide services that can make a difference to people's lives and communities? It asked the question: Is there a future for preventative support services? Or have we seen the end of supported housing as we know it?
 
Speakers from across the sector, including Vic Rayner, Sitra's CEO, set out their perspectives on the changes we have seen and their expectations for the future.
