Outcomes

Introduction

It is important that services demonstrate what they do and how they are achieving outcomes for clients, the community and their funders. Sitra has drawn together the recent work we have produced on outcomes.

Providers and commissioners can use the outcomes to demonstrate what they are doing and the change that the investment in services make. There is a range of outcomes information available to use, ranging from data via the Centre for Housing Research to qualitative client and service outcomes. We have been analysing the Supporting People Outcomes data to demonstrate the value of Supporting People.

We also are working on how outcomes can support service improvement, for example, assessing links between engagement and move on.

Supporting People Data consultation

Sitra is carried out a consultation on the future of Supporting People data, on behalf of the sector, with support from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

The aim of the consultation was to establish whether, after the DCLG ceases collecting data, there is an appetite for developing an alternative approach to evidence the value of housing support services that authorities and providers can own and use at their discretion

The consultation is now closed.
