Sitra brings you ILM approved courses
We have been developing our management training courses and can now offer you three courses that have been approved by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
The courses are:

What is ILM?
ILM is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the improvement and advancement of managers and leaders. Part of the City & Guilds Group, ILM is a market leader in the development, administration and assessment of leadership and management qualifications. It is a membership organisation which offers excellent benefits and support to members.
How do the ILM and Sitra work together?
Sitra has been approved by the ILM as a ‘recognised provider’. This means that we are able to deliver programmes of study that are designed and delivered by us but approved by the ILM. In order for the programmes to be approved, they have to be of a certain quality and pass ILM’s inspection process before being allowed to run. The programmes must be based on general or specific areas of management or leadership and aim to enhance or develop the knowledge and skills of managers, leaders, coaches and mentors within their organisation.
What award is on offer?
We are offering the ILM Development Award on the above three courses. The award is not a qualification, but does ensure that the course and its contents are of a certain level to be approved by the ILM. The Development Award is not assessed through assignments. To receive the award, course delegates must attend the full training sessions at the end of which, a nationally recognised ILM certificate will be issued.
How does this benefit me and my employer?
An ILM approved course and certificate adds value, status and credibility for both the learner and their employer.
How does ILM membership work?
All learners registered onto an ILM Development Award course will automatically receive one year’s ILM membership. The membership include
ILM’s online Edge magazine, access to an online resources centre, member events, online skills assessment and more.
How do I book?
The above courses are all delivered as ILM approved courses. You can book on these through the standard Sitra booking channels which include, post, fax or online booking form.
Can I have ILM approved courses delivered inhouse?
Yes. To receive the ILM Development Award, the course must be delivered in line with the ILM approved outcomes. An additional fee of £49 per person will be added to the fees for the ILM certificate.
