Depression in Older People

This course examines the nature and incidence of depression in older people, plus factors that can place an older person at risk of becoming depressed. The course will explore appropriate approaches and strategies for intervention.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- List some of the different kinds of depression that may affect older people
- Describe some of the causes of depression
- Identify signs and symptoms of depressive illness in older people
- Discuss and evaluate current forms of treatment for depression
