Service User Involvement and Co-production
Co-production involves clients and treats all clients as equals during the entire service delivery process. One of the key-messages of co-production is that people are not passive recipients of care or service but actively involved in shaping the process of service delivery. Co-production recognises the strengths and assets of clients to your organisation.
“Co-production means delivering public services in an equal and reciprocal relationship between professionals, people using services, their families and their neighbours. Where activities are co-produced in this way, both services and neighbourhoods become far more effective agents of change". The Co-production Network
Sitra plays a key role in the sector promoting co-production and in supporting user-led groups.
