Glynis Sampey, Policy Manager
Glynis joined Sitra in July 2002 as a Regional Adviser, assisting providers in the South West region with the implementation of Supporting People, with a particular interest in small providers in the voluntary and private sector. In August 2005 she was appointed to lead the regional staff team. Glynis has worked with many of the region's Supporting People teams to deliver local training on interim contracts, accreditation requirements and workshops on various aspects of the Supporting People framework. She has carried out consultancy work with a number of the region?s providers and commissioners on projects including service and financial reviews, business planning, and provider forum development, and delivers in-house and open programme training courses on a range of subjects. Recently Glynis's focus has been on commissioning and procurement of support services and she lead on the production of Sitra's Provider's Guide to Procurement.
Before joining Sitra, Glynis was Operations Director for United HA and has previously worked for housing associations, local authorities and in the voluntary sector in housing management, homelessness and tenant participation. Glynis has a Masters degree in Business Administration. She was for ten years a member of the board of a local young persons supported housing association.
