This course will explain the new employment and support allowance scheme introduced in October 2008.
Participants should have a good working knowledge of the current benefits system including income support and incapacity benefit.
This course will enable participants to:
• Understand the structure of ESA and how it will be implemented
• Examine the new work capability assessments
• Understand how the new scheme will impact on new and existing claimants
• Calculate how much ESA a client is entitled to
