This course is aimed at all staff who need a basic knowledge of housing benefit to enable them to understand housing benefit and maximise tenants entitlement.
Participants will learn:
· To identify who can claim housing benefit
· How much rent is covered by housing benefit
· Eligible and ineligible service charges
· How housing benefit is calculated
· How income is assessed
· What affect other people living in the home have on entitlement
