- Understand the eligibility criteria
- Have an understanding of the legislation relating to these benefits
- Know how to complete the form by understanding the importance of the language used
- Understand the importance of supporting evidence
- Know what to do if the claim is not successful – applications for a revision/appeal
- Understand how an award of DLA/AA can lead to entitlement to other benefits.
