The course is essential for everyone with clients needing to claim benefit because of sickness and disability from 27 October 2008. The Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) replaces incapacity based income Support for new claimants. With a new benefit structure and test of limited capabiility for work, ESA is going to change both the amount of benefit claimants can get and how they qualify for it.

This course will look at how ESA differs from the present system, the eligibility criteria for claiming the work related activity component and the support component and the new work forced health related assessment.
