How much of the Area Based Grant in your locality comprises Supporting People?
Find out by using this handy Sitra tool that calculates the % of the ABG that is Supporting People and what other elements make up the ABG in 2009-10. We have also developed a tool that enables you to identify what was formally ‘badged’ as Supporting People in 2010-11 figures. We think these tools will be particularly useful for providers and others interested in ensuring that housing related support retains a profile in local decision making structures. The tool can be used to make a compelling case for housing related support, in that the biggest component of ABG comprises funding for preventative services for vulnerable people, in some localities over half of the 2010-11 ABG was formerly Supporting People Grant.
